What is the Iowa Go-to-Market (G2M) Accelerator?
We are Iowa’s only follow-on accelerator for research-driven, high-tech companies looking for continued support. The program is designed for companies developing innovative products or services.
The program is managed and supported by BioConnect Iowa, Iowa State University Startup Factory, and VentureNet Iowa.
Do I qualify to apply to join the program?
- You are based in Iowa
- You are developing innovative, technology-driven products or services
- You have completed an accelerator or formal development program
We invite founders at all stages to apply if they meet these requirements.
What does the program entail?
During the program participants are paired with a seasoned, industry-specific mentor, meet for monthly workshops, and are able to receive pro bono business support from local service providers.

What is the time commitment?
The program runs for six months. Much of the pace is founder-driven, as cohort members meet monthly for group workshops and work independently to make progress on their business, connect with their mentor, and call on service providers.
This schedule, along with two start points per year, allows founders to continue to work on their businesses full-time.
Does the Iowa G2M Accelerator take equity in participating companies?
No, we do not take equity in cohort member companies.
When do applications open?
We are currently accepting applications for the Fall 2024 cohort. With three start dates each year, applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
When is the next program start date?
The next Iowa G2M Accelerator start date is in Fall 2024.
