Sue Gehling, founder and owner of Classroom Clinic, today was named the Iowa School Mental Health Hero by the Scanlan Center for School Mental Health.
Gehling founded Classroom Clinic in 2019 in order to provide rural school districts with timely and convenient access to children’s mental health services through the use of telehealth and related technologies. Over the past three years, Classroom Clinic has worked with seven schools and provided mental health care to 250 students.
Classroom Clinic was one of five participants in the inaugural Iowa G2M accelerator. The program, a collaboration between BioConnect Iowa, ISU Startup Factory and VentureNet Iowa, offers structured support and advanced training for Iowa-based startups.
