The Iowa Go-To-Market (G2M) Accelerator, Iowa’s second-stage accelerator program for high tech research-driven companies, will evolve in 2022 to offer multiple entry dates when startups can join the accelerator.

Iowa G2M will offer three start times each year, in February, June, and October. A similar number of companies will participate in the program annually, with fewer starting the program at any one time. This change will be accompanied by the introduction of a rolling application process.

“From its conception, the intent of the G2M Accelerator was to provide companies with individualized support and, based on learnings from the first year of the program, we believe adding flexibility to when companies can start the program will further this effort” says Jim Register, President and CEO of BioConnect Iowa and Co-Director of the Accelerator.

Furthermore Peter Hong, Director of the Iowa State University Startup Factory and Co-Director of the G2M program, adds “We believe this change will lead to better coordination across ISU entrepreneur support programs and enhance the overall service provided to the Iowa startup community.”

This change will not impact other key characteristics of the program – the Iowa G2M Accelerator will remain centered around providing companies individualized mentor guidance and business service provider support and will continue to run over a 7-8 month period, enabling entrepreneurs to remain fully engaged in their companies while participating in the program.

The new schedule will kick off with a February 2022 start. Applications for this round will open soon; for more information, please visit www.iowag2m.org.
